Many are familiar with the story behind Miranda v. Arizona, the 1966 U.S. Supreme Court case that defined the limits of the 5th Amendment right against self-incrimination. Can anyone name the Southerner that represented the U.S. Government before the Supreme Court, arguing that Miranda's Constitutional rights had not been violated by the police? Give up?
