I wrote about American Indian Movement leader Leonard Peltier's wrongful conviction for The Nation way back in 1985. That was on the 10th anniversary of his conviction. Last year marked the 35th anniversary. While I'm pleased to see that people are still taking an interest in the case, and that he hasn't been forgotton, I'm saddened that he is still in prison. Perhaps he can hope for a change in heart from Obama in the final days of his one term presidency?
