Using Firefox? You should also be using HTTPS Everywhere from EFF.HTTPS Everywhere | Electronic Frontier Foundation

If you are using the Firefox web browser you should also be using HTTPS Everywhere, a Firefox extension produced as a collaboration between The Tor Project and the Electronic Frontier Foundation. It encrypts your communications with a number of major websites.

It was developed in response to the October 2010 release of Firesheep, a Firefox ad on that allows anyone to easily hijack an internet user's password protected account at a variety of high profile websites.

Quick link: you can install the latest version of HTTPS Everywhere by clicking here.   Here is an alternative plug in fix via TechCrucnch.
