This sign might work if you can find homeless people who can look beyond their immediate misery to offer consideration to those living in million dollar lofts in lower Manhattan . I think an appropriate graffiti response might be "PEOPLE LIVE HERE TOO." Or a cardboard sign that reads: "Please don't step on my head on your way to work." Although, it was polite to say "please." Perhaps "pretty please" would do the trick.
